A whole new brew.
Our story is pretty well known ‘round these parts; a
couple of brothers from Fort Edward with nary a day’s
experience working in a restaurant, neither having owned a
business, and, fittingly, no knowledge of the beer brewing
process, up and opened a brewpub in a 130 year old building
in downtown Glens Falls. Our education in the brewing
process came from a true master of the trade, Alan Pugsley
of The Shipyard Brewery in Portland, Maine. It was through
that connection we had an authentic Peter Austin brick
kettle brewing system, custom made in England, installed
right in our building. Without getting too long winded,
suffice it to say that we love (our) beer and, based on our
continued existence, folks seem to be pretty fond of it too.
Not too far back we met a guy named Duncan Kincaid who
led us down the unexpected path of producing a whole new
brew. We’ve taken our own little corner of the internet to
share the story of how we came to meet Duncan and carry
Dacker. Being a person more inclined to Walden Pond than the
world wide web he won’t ever read it, but we invite you to
do so. Or even better, c’mon into Davidson’s and knock back
a Dacker. Who knows, you may even catch a glimpse of Duncan. |
