Two brothers walk into a bar.
It’s true. Before bringing Davidson Brothers Restaurant &
Brewery to a 130-year old building in downtown Glens Falls,
neither Rick nor John Davidson had ever brewed beer, owned a
business, or even worked in a restaurant. Natives of nearby
Fort Edward, Rick and John say their business has thrived
because they have the best staff and customers anywhere.
Adds John, “Having a great distributor like Saratoga
Eagle and a top-notch brewery like Shipyard working with us
doesn’t hurt!”
While the draught products are brewed right in Glens
Falls, New York, Davidson Brothers Brewing Co. has enjoyed a
ten year collaboration with the Shipyard Brewery in
Portland, Maine, where the ales are bottled. British Master
Brewer Alan Pugsley and partner Fred Forsley share the
Davidson Brothers’ commitment to quality ales produced using
time tested methods. Shipyard’s 85,000 barrell capacity has
allowed Davidson Brothers to bring the successful Sagamore
Ale and their famous IPA to market.
The Davidson Brothers’ goal is simple: To make our
community a better place. Many have said that just by
founding a brewpub and bringing Davidson Brothers Ales to
Glens Falls, they’ve achieved that goal. Rick and John want
to do much more, so they’re always active in the North
Country community, and particularly in charitable endeavors. |
